Location
The Tundra is located in the northern regions of North America, Europe, and Asia. The map above shows the tundra. It is located in the northern hemisphere. The tundra is the north-most habitat. The tundra is found in parts of these countries: Alaska, Canada, Russia southern parts of Greenland, Scandinavia and Siberia.
Northern Hemisphere
There is a invisible line called the equator which separates the earth into 2 equal pieces. The pieces are shaped into domes. There is the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere. The northern hemisphere is includes these continents: North America, Europe, parts of Asia, and parts of Africa. The arctic tundra is located in the northern hemisphere. This hemisphere is located above the equator.
Southern Hemisphere
The southern hemisphere is the bottem hemisphere. It includes these continents: South America, parts of Asia, parts of Africa, and Australia. This hemisphere is below the equator. The equator is very hot. Any place around it will also be hot.
The red line is the equator. As you can see, places like Africa, Ecuador,
Colombia, Brazil, Sao Tome & Principe, Gabon, Republic of the Congo,
Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Somalia, Maldives, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Kiribati will be hot. Places far from the equator like Russia and Antartica will be cold or chilly most of the the time
